The mission of CareerReady Robeson is to create a formal organization joining the worlds of school and work in ways that will improve student learning, motivation and workforce preparedness.

CareerReady has been active in this county since 1995 with the support of local businesses, the Public Schools of Robeson County, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Robeson Community College.  When we first began, we had grants from the state to support this Partnership.  However, in 2000, due to economics, the CareerReady initiative dissolved and we lost our external funding; but we thrived regardless with contributions made by local businesses as well as minimal yearly dues.  We also have a great network of volunteers from the local businesses and school systems who work very hard to support our Partnership.
